Every Petitfour shoe starts with a creative brainstorm session. We put together a mood board for inspiration and a concept brief. Next is the sketch phase. We often require more than one attempt before we can successfully translate our concept into the paper. Then, it’s time to specify every detail of the shoe, and we complete the design phase.
When choosing our materials, we take into account aesthetics, comfort, durability, and sustainability. The leather on each Petitfour shoe is carefully sourced from some of the world’s finest tanneries, to give the delicate and refined look that define our shoes. We take comfort in knowing that our suppliers, as members of the Leather Working Group, follow sustainable and appropriate environmental business practices.
Before we move into production, our designer closely follows the development of the models to ensure that the final result perfectly translates his drawings. As they say, the devil is in the details, and that is something we take seriously. Every Petitfour shoe is handmade in the north of Portugal by highly experienced craftsman in the art of shoemaking.
