The shoes you just received are made from incredibly soft leather that requires regular care.
Protect your shoes
Before using your Petitfour shoes for the first time, we recommend using a shoe protector spray. Note that using the spray will not protect your footwear from heavy rain, but it will help to keep the dust away and provide some protection from water and stains. Make sure you choose a product that is suitable for suede. Test the spray in a discrete area and follow the product instructions to ensure the best results. If your Petitfour shoes get wet, let them dry naturally. Please do not use a hairdryer or put them near a heat source, as it might damage the leather.
Cleaning suede
To remove any dirt or dust from the suede, first, make sure that the shoes are dry. Then, use a very soft suede brush to rub the suede gently in one direction. We recommend using a shoe repellent spray after each cleaning.
Cleaning napa leather
As for the napa leather, you can use a slightly damp soft cloth to remove any dirt or dust. After, you can wipe it with a soft dry cloth.
Cleaning the rubber soles
To clean the rubber soles, you can use a soft damp cloth, or you can dip a small brush (e.g., toothbrush) in water with little soap and rub carefully not to damp the upper part.
Storing
Before storing your Petitfour shoes, confirm that they are clean and dry. To preserve their shape, stuff them with un-colored tissue paper or use a shoe tree. Then, store them inside their dust bag, in a cool and dry environment, protected from direct sunlight.
